I Dreamed of You Last Night
I dreamed of you last night. I felt your embrace and my body weaken just like the times in the years gone by. I felt your warmth and divinity carry me up to some unknown height. Your auburn eyes were true, true, true… Reflecting the world as something new to me. I once again became lost in them as if I had never been before.
I dreamed of you last night. Your soft breath whispering warmth into my ear, falling against my neck and mixing with the breeze. I felt your hair fall against my face and found the aroma to fill my lungs with it’s sweetness and purity. I felt your skin… Oh, God!! How I felt your skin - softer than the silence of death, ringing with a truth that so pains my aching soul. And I felt your lips. Your lips against mine, time and time again with tears falling from my eyes.
I dreamed of you last night and then I was awake. I cursed the ends of the universe and to points beyond. I desired so absolutely the darkest of black to encapsulate me once again that tears of a different type poured from my wicked eyes. How they had tricked me! A vision so intensely real could only be reality, yet - instantly - you were gone from me. What… Have I lost?
I dreamed of you last night. I dreamed of you today. I will dream of you tonight and I will dream of you tomorrow.
