Supersonic Visits:
Supersonic recently had the chance to visit the awesome joint studio of Kali Ciesemier and Sam Bosma. Sam and Kali are both graduates of the excellent art school MICA (Maryland Institute College of Art) and live in Baltimore (And teach at MICA - I wish I had had them as my teachers). The two artists explore a broad range of different ideas and themes throughout their bodies of work. Kali works exclusively digitally while Sam goes through a thumbnail and sketch process, sometimes coloring with traditional paint and sometimes painting with Photoshop to finish his work. Check out a multitude of images of their studio after the jump:
Supersonic Visits Sam Wolfe Connelly.
Supersonic Electronic recently visited the talented Sam Wolfe Connelly (Sam’s Tumblr) in his New York studio as he prepares for his solo show that opens at Roq La Rue Gallery in Seattle, Washington on February 8th, 2013. Connelly has a knack for the bizarre and uses his brilliance to compose haunting glimpses into his dimension. See many more photographs after the jump:
Supersonic Visits Mario Hugo.
Supersonic Electronic recently had the pleasure of visiting Illustrator Mario Hugo’s “studio” which is actually the offices of Hugo & Marie, a world renown creative agency located in New York City. Mario is one of the halves behind Hugo & Marie (The other half being Jennifer Marie Gonzalez) and the agency’s offices allow him a very well equipped studio space to explore his creative ideas. Mario splits his time between illustration and running the agency. Check out way more photos after the jump:
Supersonic Electronic Visits Anthony Cudahy.
Anthony Cudahy’s paintings ride the line of figurative and abstract, his portrait’s brush strokes depicting the human form and also dissolving it. To Cudahy they’re attempts at connecting to something that is no longer existing. (Anthony also has started doing illustrations that are seemingly related.) Supersonic Electronic jumped at the chance to visit the talented young artist in his Brooklyn, New York studio. Check out way more images after the jump:
Supersonic Electronic Visits Tatiana Suarez.
Last week Supersonic Electronic visited Tatiana Suarez, one of our all time favorite artists, at her studio in New York City. Tatiana will be part of the 2nd Annual Supersonic Electronic Invitational art show and she was the first ever interviewee for Supersonic Electronic. Take a look at more of her wonderful studio and work after the jump:
